Hi everyone,

I am entirely new to this board, but I am doing my best to spread the word about the unsolved Keddie Murders. In the past, discussions of the Keddie Murders on the Internet has turned ugly, filled with threats, foul language, and cruelty.

With the release of our documentary and new website, we are trying to change that. You can learn all about the movie and the case at www.keddiemurdersfilm.com.

I teach English at a community college here in the Bay Area; during my off hours, I have devoted the past eight years in pursuit of the truth in this crime. Our website and film have been done with the full support of the victims' families, with whom I have worked closely for nearly a decade.

Currently, we are attempting to determine what was ever done with DNA evidence sent to the Department of Justice in 2003. In many ways, we feel this case is closer to being solved more than ever before. On other days, we feel miles away.

On a side note, the recent movie "The Strangers" has been said to be loosely based on the Keddie Murders.

What I'm trying to do is get the word out there on as many blogs, forums and sites as possible. We want people to know about this case!

And just so everyone is aware, our DVD is for sale on the site for those who want their own copy--but the entire movie is also available for free on the site. We don't want anyone to think we are trying to profit from the case. All proceeds from DVDs sold go toward maintaining the site.

Anyway, I hope you'll visit us. I'd be happy to answer any questions here. If I am not posting in the right place, or for whatever reason this post is inappropriate for this board, I apologize.

Hi Josh, welcome! You may not remember me but we have spoken before.I actually contacted you at one time about your documentary, but it was not available at that time.I actually used to have a whole thread dedicated to the keddie murders, but unfortunatly it attracted many from the other forum and it got ugly.I have read everything there is about the murders, and actually got the link to your documentary from Steve's blog a couple of weeks ago.

This is one case that needs to be solved.I will post info I have here, and we will hope the naysayers do not try to trash the thread again.

Thanks Josh!

Thanks, Chris.

For those who might not know:

In April of 1981, a mother and her teenage son, Sue and Johnny Sharp, were brutally stabbed and hammered to death in their cabin home in Keddie, California. Also killed was Johnny's friend, another teenage boy named Dana Wingate. Missing from the cabin as of that night was 12-year old Tina Sharp. Her skull was found three years later in a remote location approximately 60 miles from Keddie.

Some say the primary suspects are dead. Some say one of them still lives in the Plumas County area. No one knows for sure.

This case has gone unsolved for over 25 years. As of this writing, there is DNA evidence that was never tested at the Department of Justice in Sacramento.

On our website, you can join what we call The Street Team. By joining the Street Team, you will receive free stickers, postcards, magnets, and other similar items at no cost to you. It's our way of spreading the word about the case. Currently, our Street Team has over 100 members scattered throughout the country. Just follow the appropriate link if you want to join.

As Chris mentioned, this case has attracted severe venom on other websites. Our website is carefully monitored to prevent that. Most importantly, the family members of the victims are directly involved in the website. They post messages and respond to questions on a regular basis.

If anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to answer them here, or you can see our site. We have only one objective--to help solve the case by informing more people about it.

Thanks!

Josh

Thank you, Josh
This story is entirely new to me. I guess it didn't get much press on the east coast. I was in college in 1981, and still having trouble believing how long ago it was.
So I guess this is why you still have to spread the word. There are still people who haven't heard about it.
You make me feel lucky that my website never got much hate mail.

Chris - Thanks for thinking about me!

Hi Chris,

Thank you for ordering the DVD. It's shipping out to you tomorrow morning.

And Bill, we just ordered a bunch of new street team stuff. It will be out to you asap. We should have some new videos up soon as well as some new photographs on our website.

Thanks again,

Josh

Still building up the website, are you, Josh?
That's good. Now I want to know more about it. You see what you did?

Its quite the case isn't it Bill? A beautiful little resort,a place anyone would want to take their family. And this brutal carnage happens.I have often wondered why the children in the bedroom were left alone, why did they take Tina but not the others?I have spent hours upon hours reading the old message boards and I still wonder is Craig a liar or telling the truth.

Now this is probably going to make me look dumb but where is the message board Josh? When I click on the forum at your website I just get the order the DVD page.I am probably missing it right in front of my face.
