As of today 6 feet all sneaker clad have washed up on the Vancouver shoreline. What do we know so far,not a heck of alot. The R.C.MP are keeping everything close to their chest,so to speak. Here is what we know so far:

- Since last August, six feet clad in running shoes have washed ashore along B.C.'s South Coast from Campbell River to Ladner.

- Five are right feet, one is a left. Two of the right feet were men's size 12. The sixth looks like a men's size 10.

- The first two feet belonged to men. The shoes in the third and sixth cases appeared to be men's, and the fourth looked like a woman's sneaker.

- DNA profiles of the first three feet don't match profiles of missing people.

- There is no evidence any of the first four feet were forcibly removed.

- As of August 2007, the RCMP had received reports of 2,317 people who were missing in B.C. for a period of at least 30 days.

WHAT WE DON'T KNOW

- Why only feet are washing ashore.

- Whether the one left foot matches any of the five right feet.

- Whether any of the feet's original owners fell victim to foul play.

- The height, race and age of those involved.

- How long the feet were in the water.

- Whether the fifth foot belonged to a man or a woman.

2 feet found in B.C. matched through DNA
VANCOUVER - B.C. authorities have matched up a pair of feet that washed ashore off the coast earlier this year.

The B.C. Coroners Service announced late Friday that they have matched two of the seven feet that have washed up on West Coast shores since August 2007. Six have made landfall in B.C., with one discovered in Washington state.

Coroners used DNA analysis to confirm the remains of a right foot found on May 22, 2008, on Kirkland Island in the Fraser River and the remains of a left foot found on Nov. 11, 2008, in Richmond are from the same female.

Both feet were found in size 7 blue and white New Balance running shoes.

"Investigations by the RCMP, Delta Police Department and the Coroners Service to determine the identities, for this pair, the pair of male feet matched on July 10 and a remaining right foot (found in B.C.), are ongoing," the coroners' service said in a statement.

The right foot found on Aug. 20, 2007, on Jedediah Island off Vancouver Island has already been identified, but the name has not been released at request of the family.

The coroners' service said in all six B.C. cases the feet appear to have naturally separated from the bodies, adding "there are no tool or trauma marks on the remains."
