Wreckage Provides Little Evidence In Search
Police on the Big Island of Hawaii are looking for a woman whose car was found at the bottom of a 120-foot cliff on Oct. 10, 2008. The car's registered owner, Marlo K. Moku, 33, has been missing since Sept. 23.
Cops say Marlo was last seen at a 7-Eleven store in her hometown of Hilo two weeks before the discovery of her car. According to detectives, her credit cards have not been used since she went missing.
Police say the wreckage of Marlo's blue 1995 Chevy Corsica was first spotted from the water by a local fisherman. The vehicle needed to be airlifted out of the ravine by helicopter for inspection.
Detectives tell AMW that they used Luminol in the car to see if anyone had been inside at the time of the crash. Tests showed no evidence of bodily fluids.
Marlo, a mother of two, is of partial Hawaiian descent. She's 5'7", 180 lbs., has brown eyes and shoulder-length dark brown curly hair, occasionally worn in a ponytail.
Marlo has a mole on her upper left cheek and one on her lower right cheek. She has the word "Sassy" tattooed in pink letters on the inside of one of her ankles and two vertical scars on one of her outer arms.
Cops say there are few clues as to the cause of her disappearance.
