I had read this story on the Doe network sometime ago,but after researching it more tonight the story has gotten worse.

On August 1, 1989, Ronald Jack was seen at the First Litre Pub with a white male, they left together.
A relative later told police the man offered he and his wife, Doreen, jobs either at a logging camp or at a ranch. At 1:30 am, August 2, 1989, at the Bednesti Cluculz Lake area, Ronald phoned his mother. He said they would be gone for 10 days to 2 weeks. They were packing up some of their belongings and those of their two boys, Russell and Ryan. It appeared the family had every intention of returning to their home on Strathcona Ave at some point.
They have not been seen or heard from since. According to investigators, one of three things could have happened: foul play, the family simply went off the road and have not been discovered or they left voluntarily. However, they are placing greater emphasis on the first option.

Ronalds mother whose name is Mabel gave an interview in 2006,it was a story on the missing women from the Highway of Tears. She tells the sad story of losing her son and his family, but also she tells how her husband has also now gone missing, while hunting near Burns Lake,B.C.

Where this family is missing from is right smack dab in the middle of The Highway Of Tears. If the story of the family going missing on their way to a job is true, wouldn't the person who hired them have come forward?Surely this guy would have seen newspaper reports they were missing and he would wonder why they never showed up for work.
Why would someone want to kill a whole family,it makes no sense to me.If it was some kind of pedophile it would be easier to kidnap their preference than taking a whole family.I could go on and on with the what ifs,it is such a strange story.
The poor grandmother must be devestated losing her son and his family, now her husband.

This case bugs me, too. Surely the vehicle would have turned up someplace. It reminds me of the case I posted a while ago about the three elderly friends who were headed to a family reunion in the early seventies and vanished en route. The car was never found in that case either.
