Well now I've done it.
I thought this was a new topic. Now I see this is from last year. Guess I should have looked at the dates.
I came here off of the Google search page, instead of from the link on my blog. I clicked where I saw CCF, and came to a page talking about Todd Mathews, who, as a matter of fact, was the person I was thinking about when I came here.
You see, I have something new to report about Todd, and now that I've started, I will continue.
Yesterday I've sent an email that I got from Todd to Chris and Doreen. He said to pass it along, so I did. In the message Todd tells about the success of NamUs in completing Phase One of its development. Before forwarding to Chris and Doreen, I added a personal message, which I will now share with the group.
Since I became a blogger, the only police dept I have ever really had good things to say about is the Carrboro PD. I have always appreciated their willingness to work with me, as well as their dedication to solving the case of Debbie Key.
I am aware that others have not been so fortunate in gaining cooperation from their local law enforcement, when they have lost a loved one.
Last week, I had the opportunity to introduce Todd Matthews to the CPD.
Todd had asked me for info on Debbie Key for the NamUs database. I was able to answer most of the questions (height, weight, color of eyes, hair, etc.) but for dental records, I had to ask the CPD.
The CPD wanted to know who wants to know, so I told them about NamUs. That worked very well! I forwarded a message to Todd from Lt John Lau, the lead investigator in the Debbie Key case, requesting to be contacted personally for this information.
So you know, I feel it is an honor to have served as go-between for that connection, and I must say, that is a good feeling!
So today I was trying to think of what to say in my blog in congratulations to Todd Matthews, when I decided it was a good time to check out CCF. It's not surprising that Chris has been working on upgrading the forum, and I was used to seeing new material whenever I visit. What is surprising is that I accidently clicked a link to a topic from last year, that was appropriate for the occasion of today.
If not, than I'm big trouble!
Now check out the news of NamUs!
