I have always been amazed at the amount of information people can come up with, and how fast! The wonders of the internet are many.I am sure we all have our places we use to search for information.I think it would be great if we share the who, what, where & why's of the internet with each other.I believe most of us join forums such as this one for the same reason,we are looking to help solve a case.Lets help each other become great Web Sleuths!

Well I'm really sorry to see that this topic has been ignored all this time. Let's see what I can do about it.

If you want to read a truly amazing story about using the Net to solve a cold case, I suggest you read about the"Tent Girl," a 30 year mystery that was solved by Todd Matthews. There's plenty of good material on Google, so you don't need a link to get started.

I was also impressed by the story of Vickie Bertram, in which Todd was also a key player. These two stories have made me a "fan" of Todd Matthews before I had my interview with him.
I will always remember what he said to me about "crazies like us."

If this man can't inspire you to become a web sleuth, then I don't know who can.

I like to mention Todd to the people who tell me I should leave detective work to the professionals. He's my best example of what an amateur can do.

Here's something I wrote in my blog in January on the subject.
http://friendsofdebbie.blogspot.com/200 ... thing.html
I was hoping to encourage the friends of Ira Yarmolenko with it.
I'm still trying to convince everyone that we can solve this case.
