Montreal police are looking for a 15-year-old girl who left her Pierrefonds group home on Feb. 25 for a doctor's visit but hasn't been seen since.
Laura-Jame May suffers from depression and doesn't have her medication with her, her mother, Paula May, said yesterday.
She said her daughter has been suffering from depression since 2007, two years after she immigrated to Canada from Romania. "She found it hard to leave her dog and her friends," her mother said.
Laura-Jame turned 15 on March 5, but didn't contact her parents on her birthday. Although she had lived in a group home since last June, she came home every weekend.
"I am very worried," May said. "I want her to know that I love her very much and I am waiting for her."
This is the third time her daughter has disappeared from the group home. The first time, she left for just a few hours.
Laura-Jame is 5 feet one inch tall and weighs 127 pounds. When she left the group home, she was wearing black pants and a black coat. She speaks French, Romanian and English. Anyone with information can call Info-Crime at 393-1133.
