I read quite a few articles last night and they all say Ricky Sr only spent time in jail in the 80's.I really want to know more about his conviction back than.Any luck Bill?

I'm afraid not, Chris.
So many pages of search results, but little on the history of this man before Jamie went missing.

Still, I am glad to see there is more info on Jamie now, and that more and more people seem to be connecting the cases of Jamie, Jennifer, and Ira.
Also, I got the news that the meeting place for the TES Gaston County search will be in Bessemer City, NC, but still don't know what day.

Yesterday was the 11-year anniversary of Debbie Key's departure from us, and of course, I had to mention that in the FDK blog. The best news of the holiday weekend is that the killers of Anne Pressley in Arkansas, and Brianna Denison in Nevada, have been arrested. This gives me hope!

Here's what the Gaston Gazette has on what we've talked about so far.

Thanks Bill! I have been running Ricky Sr through my detective program and so far I have found nothing.I am going to try the different spelling variations and see if I come up with something.

Yes, Doreen!
I received that link from you just before receiving the reply notification to come here.
And Yes! This is wonderful news!
With Ira being a Chapel Hill person, and having recently made friends with her brother, this story is very close to home for me!
Still not getting over 2 major news stories in a row!
Full Moon tonight! How about that?

My new friend, Pavel, took off for Mt. Holly as soon as he got the call from the police. I am still anxiously waiting to hear back from him. The website, irayarmolenko.com, has been taken off line to facilitate changes, and I'm anxiously waiting to see what's going to be put in there as well.

The arrests were made Friday, and all weekend in Chapel Hill, where Ira is pretty well known, there has been lots of excitment over the break in this case.

An interesting bit of trivia;
Time between murder and first arrest made in case of Eve Carson - 7 days
In case of Ira Yarmolenko - 7 months
In case of Debbie Key - 7 years

I am still uncertain as to what evidence the Mt. Holly Police had that led them to make the arrests, as I have read conflicting reports. But for all concerned, they seem pretty confident they have the true killers. I hope they are right!

For those of us who like to look at pictures, here's a nice photo gallery from the Charlotte Observer featuring pics of the Mt. Holly Police press conference, with Pavel and his Mom, which took place on Friday.

You can also see photos of the first hearing of the arrested suspects, which took place today.
