MEXICO CITY — Mexican prosecutors say they have arrested a couple for allegedly prostituting their girls, aged 7, 9 and 13.

The federal Attorney General’s Office says in a statement that Juan Gutierrez Conde and Virginia Maldonado Obregon from the central state of Tlaxcala allowed a man to rape the girls in exchange for money.

It says the man who allegedly raped the girls was also arrested.

The office said Friday that it had received several complaints accusing the couple of offering their girls in exchange for money to pay their rent. It says the girls are in the care of government social workers.
